James has over 25 years experience in both public and private equity markets. Prior to co-founding Anthem, he was Head of Telecommunications Research at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and led the team through many of the major European privatisations and altnet financings. During this time, James was instrumental in the funding and operation of the one of the first London technology venture funds, the Syntech IT Fund.
Subsequently he was founder and Chairman of ETT, a data-networking company, which he led through seed, second and third round financings. In late 2006, ETT was successfully acquired by Global Telecom & Technology Inc., (OTC BB:GTLT).
James has advised on many of the largest TMT financings including the privatisation of BT and other European PTTs, and the IPOs of a host of alternative operators such as Telewest, COLT, Orange, Energis, Equant and a host of smaller IT IPOs and venture fundraisings.
James is a member of the Securities Institute, the Royal United Institute for Defence Studies and the Institute of Physics where he is the Chairman of the Group of Physics in Finance.
